Questions people ask before they book.
What insurance do you take? +
Cigna, Aetna, BCBS and other major plans, billed through Headway. During booking, Headway verifies your plan and shows your exact per-session cost before you're ever charged.
What if I don't have insurance? +
Self-pay is available — reach out and we'll talk through rates. Under the No Surprises Act you're entitled to a Good Faith Estimate of costs before starting care.
How long does therapy take? +
It depends on your goals and history. Some people feel meaningful shifts with EMDR in a couple of months; deeper or longer-standing patterns take longer. We'll set goals together and check progress openly.
Do you see clients in person? +
The practice is fully telehealth, which is part of why it works for students, professionals, and families. You just need to be physically located in NJ, VA, or NC during sessions.
Is what I share confidential? +
Yes — sessions are confidential and held on secure, HIPAA-compliant video. The limits of confidentiality (like safety concerns) are explained clearly at intake, and for teens, communication expectations with parents are agreed up front.
